" a thrilling collection of improvisation-based pieces long on virtuosity, near telepathic musical interplay and the rhythmic and/melodic aspects of India, Africa and the Middle East as interpreted through a western ethos...The Music is transcendent and transportive.....Brave, exciting and often beautiful "

"Both musicians are completely sympathetic and work/play together with an impressive amount of creativity. The music breathes and moves together in a special unified spirit."

Notes for the Listener:
Follow the contour and metaphor of the sound. Musical lines and volumes appear and disappear at the same time, the cerebral in us all tries to capture and define “moments” within this paradoxical gestation, but music cannot be captured or contained, not by the listening ear nor by a recording. At the same time the residual trails of its “effect” is left swimming in the body/mind/spirit, and from it spring forth seeds that produce healing, inspiration, and dreams. The improvisations on this album were recorded on two separate occasions in Buffalo, NY. They were done without any verbalization or pre-conception about what was to follow. They are a congealed collage of our collective body/mind/spirit and musical DNA’s. The powerful strains of the musical traditions of the Middle East, India, and Africa are all to be found for sure, but being of Western Skies, we can only dream of the East.
